LAS VEGAS – For the first time in company history, the Ultimate Fighting Championship® will come to San Antonio on Saturday, June 28 at AT&T Center. The main event will feature a five-round featherweight bout between two of the division’s top contenders and most exciting strikers in Cub Swanson and Jeremy Stephens

Winner of five straight bouts, the fourth-ranked Swanson (20-5, fighting out of Albuquerque, N.M.) headlines his first UFC® event and eyes a potential shot at the title later this year. The Palm Springs, Calif. native has long been one to watch at 145 pounds with his blend of precision striking and seemingly endless cardio. With recent wins over Dustin Poirier, Charles Oliveira, Ross Pearson and Dennis Siver, Swanson looks to cement his status as the next title contender with a win in San Antonio.

Longtime veteran Stephens (23-9, fighting out of San Diego, Calif.) will step into the Octagon® for the 19th time on June 28, looking to get one step closer to his ultimate goal of claiming the UFC title. The tenth-ranked Stephens was entrenched in the sport from a very early age, competing in amateur bouts at 16 and turning pro at 18. Having first competed at UFC 71 in May 2007, “Lil’ Heathen” has since gone on to collect wins over Cole Miller, Rafael dos Anjos, Sam Stout and Marcus Davis. Undefeated since dropping to featherweight, Stephens looks to continue his career resurgence and win his fourth straight bout.

Also scheduled for the card:
•    The return of The Ultimate Fighter® season 16 winner and active member of the U.S. Army Colton Smith (6-3, fighting out of Ft. Hood, Texas), as he takes on undefeated Carlos Diego Ferreira (9-0, fighting out of Edcouch, Texas) at lightweight.
•    A welterweight bout between Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt Marcelo Guimaraes (8-1-1, fighting out of Vila Velha, Espirito Santo, Brazil) and submission specialist Andy Enz (8-1, fighting out of Anchorage, Alaska).
•    A heavyweight matchup featuring promotional newcomers Anthony Hamilton (12-2, fighting out of Seattle, Wash.) and Oleksiy Oliynyk (48-13-1, fighting out of Vologda Oblast, Russia).

Additional bouts will be announced in the weeks to come at UFC.com.
