UFC Fight Night: Gustafsson vs Teixeira main card

Main event: Alexander Gustafsson vs Glover Teixeira
It was an epic performance from Alexander Gustafsson in front of his home crowd. Gustafsson peppered Glover Teixeira with uppercuts all night before finally finishing him in the fifth via KO. Gustafsson stunned and nearly finished the Brazilian multiple times, including a big knockdown in the second round. Gustafsson will hold his spot as the No. 1 light heavyweight contender with the victory.

Co-main: Volkan Oezdemir vs Misha Cirkunov
Volkan Oezdemir certified his place in the Top 5 of the light heavyweight rankings with his first-round KO over Misha Cirkunov in Stockholm. Oezdemir countered a Cirkunov with a swift right hook to the side of Cirukunov’s head just 30 seconds into the fight. Oezdemir improves to 14-1.

Peter Sobotta vs Ben Saunders
Peter Sobotta earned his first career UFC TKO at Fight Night Stockholm. Sobotta finished Saunders in Round 2 and has now won 4 of his last 5 fights.

Abdul Razak Alhassan vs Omari Akhmedov
Omari Akhmedov’s activity and aggression against Abdul Razak Alhassan was enough to earn a split decision win (30-27, 28-29, 30-27). Akhmedov threw over 200 strikes and landed 83 of them. Akhmedov improves to 17-3 after handing Razak Alhassan (7-1) his first loss.

Oliver Enkamp vs Nordine Taleb
Nordine Taleb got back in the win column after spoiling Oliver Enkamp’s UFC debut. Taleb defeated Enkamp by unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 29-28) and improves to 5-2 in the UFC. Taleb stuffed 8 of Enkamp’s 9 takedowns and landed nearly double the amount of strikes.

Jack Hermansson vs Alex Nicholson
Jack Hermansson earned the first first-round finish of the day, as he ground-and-pounded Alex Nicholson for a TKO finish. Hermansson landed 25 significant strikes in the three minutes of action before the fight was stopped. Hermansson improves to 2-1 in the UFC.

Pedro Munhoz vs Damian Stasiak
The 12th-ranked bantamweight contender, Pedro Munhoz earned his third consecutive win on Sunday. Munhoz defeated Damian Stasiak by unanimous decision (30-27, 28-28, 29-28).

Trevor Smith vs Chris Camozzi
Trevor Smith put in a dominating performance against Chris Camozzi, earning a unanimous decision (30-27, 30-26, 30-26). Smith had control for almost all of the fight and landed 60 significant strikes compared to Camozzi’s nine. Smith has won his last 3 of 4 and improves to 15-7.

Reza Madadi vs Joaquim Silva
Joaquim Silva overcame being taken down 5 times by Reza Madadi and was able to earn a split decision victory (29-28, 28-29, 29-28). Silva attempted more than twice as many significant strikes than Madadi. With the win, Silva remains unbeaten in the UFC (10-1, 3-0 UFC).

Nico Musoke vs Bojan Velickovic
Bojan Velickovic stunned the arena as he knocked out Nico Musoke in the final round with just 23 seconds left in the fight. It was a right-hand counter that Velickovic landed to send Musoke to the mat for the instant KO. Velickovic improves to 15-4-1.

Darren Till vs Jessin Ayari
Darren Till remains undefeated after earning a unanimous decision win (30-27, 30-27, 29-28) over Jessin Ayari. Till landed multiple left hands that sent Ayari to the mat but Ayari would not be finished. Till improves to 14-0-1 while Ayari falls to 16-4

Marcin Held vs Damir Hadzovic
Damir Hadzovic upset Marcin Held in the first fight of Fight Night Stockholm. Held had landed about twice as many strikes but Hadzovic was able to get the TKO victory in the final round.
