Several fighters joined UFC president Dana White at the UFC 171 post-fight press conference: Johny Hendricks, Robbie Lawler, Tyron Woodley, Ovince Saint Preux, Hector Lombard, Dennis Bermudez, Myles Jury, and Kelvin Gastelum

Hendricks and Lawler, who battled it out over five rounds, were awarded Fight of the Night for their fight for the vacant welterweight title.
