Two of the top flyweights on the planet will square off in an attempt to move closer to a title shot when number four-ranked Ian McCall takes on Tennessee native Dustin Ortiz in Nashville on August 8.
The UFC Fight Night card, which is headlined by the light heavyweight bout between Ovince Saint Preux and Glover Teixeira, will be televised live on FOX Sports 1 from the Bridgestone Arena.
Winner of two of his last three, "Uncle Creepy" McCall will look to bounce back from a January loss to John Lineker against the number 11-ranked Ortiz, who is 6-2 in his last eight, a run that includes UFC wins over Jose Maria, Ray Borg and Justin Scoggins.
