Soto Replaces Yamamoto in Ottawa

Eager to score his first UFC victory, veteran bantamweight standout Joe Soto will step into the Octagon on June 18 in Ottawa, as he replaces Kid Yamamoto in a UFC Fight Night bout against Chris Beal.

UFC Fight Night, which takes place at TD Place Arena, is headlined by a five-round bout between top welterweight contenders Rory MacDonald and Stephen "Wonderboy" Thompson. FOX Sports 1 will televise the card.

A California standout who made headlines in August of 2014 when he made his UFC debut against then-bantamweight champion TJ Dillashaw on one day's notice, Soto is more determined than ever to make his mark in the big show. Looking to spoil his return is fellow Californian Beal, who is 2-2 thus far in his UFC career.
