Edwards vs. Pawlak Set for Glasgow

London, UK – UFC® has today announced that two of the standout stars of UFC® FIGHT NIGHT: GONZAGA vs. CRO COP 2 will be back in action again in just two months time, as they prepare to face off against one another at UFC’s debut event in Scotland on July 18.

Britain’s Leon “Rocky” Edwards, who secured a knockout win over Seth “Polish Pistola” Baczynski in just eight seconds in Poland last month, will look to continue his recent form, as he takes on Polish welterweight Pawel Pawlak at UFC FIGHT NIGHT GLASGOW.

Edwards, who holds a record of 9-2-0, currently fights out of Birmingham, England. The 23-year-old will be hoping that fans all over England will make the short trip to Glasgow to show their support for him on the night.

“Hopefully I’ll get a good reception fighting on home soil – hopefully I’ll get some cheers this time!” said Edwards. “I’ve watched his [Pawlak’s] fights and he looks like he’s a good fighter. But from what I’ve seen, I can see me finishing him – I’ll get the finish in the second round or maybe at the end of the first”.

Pawlak, meanwhile, comes into the fight on the back of a win by unanimous decision over Sheldon Westcott, a victory which brought Pawlak’s professional record to 11-1-0. The Polish talent will be looking to continue his recent success when he arrives in the Scottish capital.

UFC FIGHT NIGHT GLASGOW will take place at the SSE Hydro in Glasgow on Saturday, July 18. UFC is yet to confirm which fighters will headline the fight card, but with this being the organisation's first ever trip to Scotland, fans can expect a series of exciting bout announcements to follow in the coming weeks.

Tickets to UFC FIGHT NIGHT GLASGOW go on general sale on Friday, May 29 and 10:00 BST. Sun+ members will have an early opportunity to secure tickets on Wednesday, May 27.
