Biography
TRAINING: Working daily in all aspects of MMA
When and why did you start training for fighting? I've been training BJJ as far as I can remember. Before I could even walk my father already was teaching me an arm lock.
What ranks and titles have you held? I'm a seven-time world champion in Jiu-Jitsu, three-time open weight world champion. In 2005 I fought in the ADCC, winning by submission in all eight of my fights.
Do you have any heroes? No
What does it mean for you to fight in STRIKEFORCE? It means a great chance for me to face a few of the best fighters in the world.
Did you go to college and if so what degree did you earn? I have a PHD in BJJ, ha ha
What was your job before you started fighting? BJJ teacher
Ranks in any martial arts styles: Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt
Favorite grappling technique: I don’t have any; the best one is the one I can apply in the moment.
