Biography

TRAINING: A typical day involves 2 sessions - an am and pm session varying between striking, MMA sparring , wrestling and many privates in between. I also like to take my weekends relaxing and doing some light exercise.

When and why did you start training for fighting? I started training as a teen and had my first fight as a late teenager. I started fight training because I was so passionate about Jiu-Jitsu and martial arts generally. I saw it as the natural progression to the UFC, which was my goal right from my teen years.

What ranks and titles have you held? BJJ State Champion

Do you have any heroes? Anyone that has accomplished a goal that someone has told them is unattainable! Fighters: GSP, Cote, Noke

What does it mean for you to fight in the UFC? Fighting in the UFC is my dream come true, literally. I have had the vision of being a UFC fighter for many years and this is the beginning of great things for myself and Australian MMA.

Did you go to college and if so what degree did you earn? I completed my degree at the University of New South Wales (Sydney) in Construction. I also studied abroad for a stint in Georgia Tech in Atlanta (2010) and briefly started Law School Postgrad in 2012 before deciding to pursue the UFC dream to my full potential.

What was your job before you started fighting? Strength and conditioning trainer and I was previously a student.

Specific accomplishments in amateur competition? Amateur Muay Thai - 10-0 record, Boxing 6-0

Ranks in any martial arts styles: BJJ - Purple Belt

Favorite grappling technique: Arm lock

Favorite striking technique: Snap kick
