Mike PierceTRAINING: A typical day of training starts with morning conditioning topped off with an ice bath. The afternoon is primarily skill acquisition and development. Then in the evening we train hard and/or spar.
When and why did you start training for fighting? I turned pro in 2007 because I love the competition. What ranks and titles have you held? Former Sportfight Welterweight Champion. Do you have any heroes? Roy Pittman What is your favorite technique? All aspects of Ground and Pound What does it mean for you to fight in the UFC? It means a lot. I'm really thankful for the opportunity. I think this is a huge step in the right direction for me. I'm excited to be in the show and hope to put on an exciting fight for the fans. Did you go to college and if so what degree did you earn? Went to Portland State University. No degree. What was your job before you started fighting? I was a Union Carpenter worker. The biggest project I was a part of was the OHSU Tram that spans across Portland's OHSU campuses. It was a lot of fun and a really unique project to be a part of.
