Biography
Training: Striking, grappling, wrestling
When and why did you start training for fighting? 2005. I needed a competitive outlet after I completed my eligibility in college wrestling
What ranks and titles have you held? VFC Welterweight champion
Do you have any heroes? My mom.
What does it mean for you to fight in the UFC? It means a lot. It's good to be here and I appreciate the opportunity to compete here among the best.
Did you go to college and if so what degree did you earn? Yes. The University of Nebraska. I earned a BA in History
What was your job before you started fighting? I was an operations manager and full time EMT at a private ambulance company.
Specific accomplishments in pro competition? VFC welterweight champion. DREAM Welterweight Grand Prix runner up.
Favorite grappling technique: Chokes
Favorite Striking technique: Anything that lands effectively
