Biography

When and why did you start training for fighting? I was a fat kid and I started training because punching and choking people is more entertaining than lifting weights and running. Now I do it all anyways (Laughs)

What ranks and titles have you held? DeAnna. Master of the Universe. Bennett. Okay, not really, but soon.

Do you have any heroes? My father has always been my number 1 hero. I always looked up to him and he's a big reason I'm here fighting today. Fighting wise, I love Khabib (Nurmagomedov). He's an amazing wrestler and fighter and I love watching him in the Octagon. And Dominick Cruz has always been my all-time favorite fighter.

What does it mean for you to fight in the UFC? I shelved everything else in my life because I love fighting and it's what I want to do. To make it to the top of my game and fight in the UFC makes every single long day in the gym, every calorie counted, and every ache and pain worth it. It's a years-long dream come true.

Did you go to college and if so what degree did you earn? I went to Utah Valley University, and I am so close to graduating....10 years later.

What was your job before you started fighting? I worked for 5 years at Vivint home security in the inside sales department on the channel partners team. Before that I was (and am still registered as) an EMT. I worked in the ER and on an ambulance.

Specific accomplishments in amateur competition? I was 2-0 as an ammy. That's all I got to say about that.

Specific accomplishments in pro competition? I fought for Invicta FC. Went 8-0 in my first eight fights against tough competition.
