Chan Sung JungTRAINING: To be honest, it was a tough camp for this fight. I was coming off a several month layoff after surgery for a lingering injury that I had (from the first Leonard Garcia fight) and our team, Korean Top Team, was moving to a huge new gym. So, all in all, my camp wasn't as long as I would have liked, but it was a good, intense camp. My typical day was running in the morning, team training in the afternoon, and crossfit and/or weights in the evening.
When and why did you start training for fighting? I started kickboxing when I was in high school because it was fun. However, at some point I was fighting in the ring as a pro-MMA fighter. What ranks and titles have you held? None Do you have any heroes? Bu-Kyung Jung (Olympic Judo Silver medalist and Dream fighter) is my hero. He also trains with me in Korean Top Team. What is your favorite technique? My punching skills. I love boxing. Did you go to college and if so what degree did you earn? Yes, I graduated Gyung-buk Science University. And my major was 'Mixed Martial Arts'. What was your job before you started fighting? I was a university student, and at that time, I already was a pro MMA fighter.
