When and why did you start training for fighting? I started training in ‘99. I used to watch all the old UFC's and I was interested in jiu-jitsu, plus I needed a way to stay out of trouble because I was always getting into fights. Training started out as a good outlet for aggression, then I finally decided to give a try in the ring and the rest is history.
What ranks and titles have you held? Black belt Tae Kwon Do, purple belt in jiu-jitsu, XKK lightweight champ.
Do you have any heroes? Elvis... He's the king
What is your favorite technique? Kimura or triangle
What does it mean for you to fight in the UFC? It means the world to me since it has been a goal of mine since I started fighting. I took a long and hard road to get here but it’s all worth it. It’s a dream come true...
Did you go to college and if so what degree did you earn? Not really.
What was your job before you started fighting? I was a before model for fitness magazines. I also worked at the popcorn train before I started fighting in 99. Those were some good times. But before I went on the show I was a shipping clerk for an electronics company for four years. Worst time of my life.
