Biography

TRAINING: Rough. I wake up in the morning and start the day off with roadwork. Head to practice, which is normally about an hour away. Train from 10am-1pm, followed by relaxation and teaching kids in between. Follow it up with a second or possible third practice from 7-10pm before calling it a night.

When and why did you start training for fighting? I started secretly my freshman year in college, as I had this plan to always pursue MMA. I saw it as a way to do what I love and make money, as opposed to working a 9-5 that I hate.

What ranks and titles have you held? I'm a blue belt in BJJ but a black belt in Wu-Tang Shaolin style. This style is composed of only the deadliest techniques and few have been known to master it.

Do you have any heroes? Yes, my sister Dominique Gordon. She is Wonder Woman! My mom passed away when I was in 7th grade and she stepped in to be that and much more.

What does it mean for you to fight in the UFC? It means the world, though that's only step one in my plan of world domination.

Did you go to college and if so what degree did you earn? Yes, I graduated with my bachelors in history while training full-time.

What was your job before you started fighting? My job before and still is as a server on the weekends at a local restaurant. I also teach kids at my gym and inner city kids through a program called Beat the Streets that helps promote an environment for troubled kids through wrestling.
