Biography

TRAINING: Wake up, get kids to school, then work. Pick kids up, squeeze dinner in, rush to the gym, train from 5:30 to 8:30, get the kids to bed. Rinse and repeat.

Thoughts on opponent, Chase Waldon? He is a tough opponent with a good ground game and a powerful right hand. It should be an exciting matchup. 

When and why did you start training for fighting? Nine years ago.

What ranks and titles have you held? I'm a purple belt in jiu-jitsu

Do you have any heroes? No

What does it mean for you to fight in the UFC? It's like my right of passage as a man. It's a goal I set for myself when I started training. To get there would mean the last nine years of hard work were not a waste.

Did you go to college and if so what degree did you earn? No

What was your job before you started fighting? Framing carpenter of 10 years
